Triumph has launched the updated 2026 Daytona 660 in India at an ex showroom price of Rs 9.99 lakh. The latest version replaces the previous Daytona 660 and comes with several upgrades focused on suspension, tyres and riding equipment. Despite these changes, Triumph has retained the motorcycle's existing engine and core mechanical package.
The 2026 Daytona 660 is priced Rs 11,000 higher than the outgoing model, which was priced at Rs 9.88 lakh in India. The new motorcycle continues to use the company's 660cc inline three cylinder petrol engine. It produces 95 PS of maximum power at 11,250 rpm and 68 Nm of peak torque. The engine is paired with a six speed gearbox and a slip and assist clutch.
One of the biggest changes for the 2026 model is the front suspension. The motorcycle now gets a 41mm Showa upside down front fork with compression and rebound adjustability. The previous Daytona 660 was equipped with a similar 41mm Showa upside down fork, but it did not offer this level of adjustment.
The front suspension continues to provide 110mm of travel. The adjustable setup allows riders to alter the fork according to riding conditions and personal preferences. This can be particularly useful for riders who use the motorcycle for both everyday road riding and more spirited riding.
The rear suspension remains largely unchanged. The Daytona 660 continues to use a Showa rear monoshock with preload adjustment and 130mm of travel. The combination of adjustable front suspension and rear preload adjustment gives riders additional flexibility when setting up the motorcycle.
Another important update is the tyre specification. Triumph has replaced the earlier Michelin Power 6 tyres with Metzeler Sportec M9RR tyres on the 2026 Daytona 660. The M9RR is designed as a performance focused road tyre, and the change complements the updated suspension package.
The bi directional quickshifter is another significant addition. On the previous Daytona 660, the quickshifter was available as an optional accessory. For 2026, Triumph has made it standard equipment. The system allows riders to shift both up and down through the gearbox without operating the clutch during suitable riding conditions.
The standard quickshifter adds convenience during everyday riding and can also make gear changes quicker during enthusiastic riding. It is one of the key equipment upgrades that separates the new model from the outgoing motorcycle.
The engine itself has not received a major mechanical update. The 660cc inline three cylinder unit continues to deliver 95 PS and 68 Nm. Triumph's three cylinder configuration is designed to provide a combination of low and mid range torque with strong performance at higher engine speeds.
The motorcycle also retains three riding modes: Sport, Road and Rain. These modes alter throttle response and traction control intervention according to riding conditions. The Daytona 660 also continues to feature ride by wire technology and switchable traction control.
Braking hardware remains focused on sporty road performance. The motorcycle uses twin front disc brakes with radial four piston calipers and a single rear disc. Dual channel ABS is also part of the standard equipment.
The Daytona 660 retains its sports motorcycle design, including the twin LED headlight arrangement, aerodynamic fairing, sculpted fuel tank and compact rear section. The riding position is designed to provide a balance between sporty handling and everyday usability.
Triumph has also introduced new colour options for the 2026 model. The updated motorcycle is available in Aluminium Silver and Cosmic Yellow with Sapphire Black detailing, along with a Sapphire Black colour option. These new colour schemes help distinguish the latest model from the outgoing version.
The motorcycle continues to use a combination instrument setup featuring a colour TFT display integrated with an LCD section. The display provides information such as speed, engine speed, gear position and other riding data. Triumph also offers an optional My Triumph Connectivity System that can add features such as turn by turn navigation, phone functions and music interaction.
The Daytona 660 is positioned as a middleweight sports motorcycle that combines performance with everyday usability. Its 810mm seat height and relatively compact dimensions are intended to make it manageable for a wide range of riders. The motorcycle also uses a steel perimeter frame and lightweight cast aluminium wheels.
With the 2026 update, Triumph has focused on improving the Daytona 660 rather than carrying out a complete redesign. The adjustable front fork, Metzeler Sportec M9RR tyres and standard bi directional quickshifter are the major changes. The engine, rear suspension, braking system and overall design remain largely familiar.
At Rs 9.99 lakh ex showroom, the updated Daytona 660 is positioned in India's middleweight performance motorcycle segment. The price represents a moderate increase over the previous version, while the additional equipment is now included as standard.
