Alt Biolo Energy has taken a significant step towards advancing sustainable fuel solutions in India by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Government of Karnataka. The company plans to invest ₹1,860 crores in setting up a state-of-the-art ethanol production facility in the state.
The upcoming facility is expected to leverage advanced technologies to produce ethanol, a biofuel that plays a pivotal role in reducing carbon emissions and enhancing energy security. This initiative aligns with India’s National Biofuel Policy, which aims to increase the blending of ethanol in petrol to promote cleaner and greener energy alternatives.
Speaking on the occasion, a spokesperson from Alt Biolo Energy stated, “Our investment in Karnataka underscores our commitment to sustainable energy solutions. This facility will not only contribute to India’s energy transition but also generate employment opportunities, boosting the local economy.”
The Government of Karnataka welcomed this investment, emphasizing its potential to enhance the state’s position as a hub for renewable energy. The project is expected to create numerous direct and indirect jobs, supporting the region's socio-economic development.
This collaboration marks a significant milestone in India’s journey towards sustainable fuel solutions, reinforcing the importance of public-private partnerships in achieving environmental and economic sustainability.
With this strategic investment, Alt Biolo Energy is set to contribute significantly to India’s renewable energy landscape, paving the way for a cleaner and more sustainable future.
