Local search engine giant Just Dial has posted a robust 61% jump in net profit for the financial year 2024–25, signaling a strong rebound in business activity and digital service demand. The company’s net profit stood at ₹207 crore for the year, as compared to ₹129 crore in FY24, according to the company’s latest financial disclosures.
This surge comes on the back of steady growth in operating revenue and improved cost management. Revenue from operations rose by 23% year-on-year, reaching ₹1,080 crore in FY25, compared to ₹880 crore in the previous fiscal. The company’s earnings before interest, tax, depreciation, and amortization (EBITDA) margin also improved significantly, thanks to streamlined spending and higher productivity.
Just Dial’s success has been driven largely by the expanding digital economy in India. The platform saw a notable rise in user engagement, especially in tier-2 and tier-3 cities, where digital services are being increasingly adopted by small businesses and individual consumers. A growing number of local vendors are listing on the platform, while consumers continue to rely on Just Dial for real-time business search, contact details, and service reviews.
According to the company’s official statement, “FY25 has been a milestone year for Just Dial. Our sustained investment in technology, mobile platforms, and vernacular outreach has helped us better serve millions of users across the country.”
The company also highlighted its efforts in expanding its advertiser base, which saw a 15% growth during the year. Just Dial’s freemium model, which offers basic listings for free while charging for premium visibility and placement, continues to gain traction among SMEs.
Analysts tracking the digital services sector view Just Dial’s performance as a strong indicator of the resilience of local online platforms in India. “Just Dial is benefiting from increased internet penetration, growing smartphone usage, and the rising importance of online discovery for local businesses,” said a market expert at a Mumbai-based brokerage.
Just Dial, a subsidiary of Reliance Retail, is also expected to benefit from ongoing integrations and digital ecosystem synergies. The company plans to further leverage Reliance’s digital infrastructure to expand its presence and build advanced tools for advertisers and consumers.
As the digital services landscape continues to evolve, Just Dial’s FY25 results signal a positive outlook, with growth likely to continue if current market trends hold.
