Each eligible beneficiary will receive Rs 2,000 directly into their bank accounts through the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) system, reinforcing the government’s commitment to supporting the agricultural sector and rural economy.

New Delhi / India:

The Central Government is preparing to release the 21st installment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-Kisan) scheme, which will provide direct financial assistance to nearly 10 crore farmers across the country. Each eligible beneficiary will receive Rs 2,000 directly into their bank accounts through the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) system, reinforcing the government’s commitment to supporting the agricultural sector and rural economy.

The PM-Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana, launched in 2019, provides income support of Rs 6,000 per year to small and marginal farmers, distributed in three equal installments of Rs 2,000 each. The scheme aims to help farmers meet agricultural expenses, buy seeds, fertilizers, and sustain their livelihoods. Since its inception, the scheme has become one of the largest DBT initiatives globally, with over Rs 3 lakh crore disbursed so far.

The upcoming 21st installment is expected to be released in November 2025, as per recent government updates. The exact date is likely to be announced officially by the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare in the coming days. Farmers can check their beneficiary status, payment confirmation, and Aadhaar linkage on the official PM-Kisan portal (pmkisan.gov.in).

To ensure smooth disbursal, the government has advised farmers to verify their e-KYC and bank account details before the release. Any discrepancies in Aadhaar seeding or inactive bank accounts could delay payment. Local agriculture offices and Common Service Centres (CSCs) are assisting farmers in completing necessary updates.

The scheme has played a key role in enhancing rural income stability and reducing financial stress among small-scale farmers. It also supports the broader goal of rural development and agricultural modernization, encouraging the adoption of better farming techniques and crop diversification.

Union Agriculture Minister has emphasized that the PM-Kisan initiative demonstrates the government’s continued focus on empowering farmers. Regular disbursals under the scheme have helped millions of rural households manage their farming activities and meet essential needs, especially during challenging economic conditions.

Economists and agricultural experts note that timely release of funds under PM-Kisan boosts rural spending, stimulates local economies, and contributes to national food security. The digital payment infrastructure built under the program also strengthens financial inclusion by connecting farmers to formal banking systems.

With the upcoming installment, total transfers under PM-Kisan will further expand the scheme’s reach and impact. Beneficiaries are encouraged to stay updated through official channels and avoid relying on unverified information circulated on social media.

Farmers can verify their payment status by visiting the PM-Kisan website, selecting the Beneficiary Status option, and entering their registered Aadhaar or mobile number.

The PM-Kisan scheme continues to be a vital pillar of India’s agricultural support system, reinforcing the government’s commitment to farmers’ welfare and rural prosperity.

To ensure smooth disbursal, the government has advised farmers to verify their e-KYC and bank account details before the release.
