The issue size comprises a fresh issue of equity shares with the aim of raising funds to support business expansion, meet working capital requirements, and cover general corporate expenses.

The Initial Public Offering IPO of Monarch Surveyors and Engineering Consultants Limited is now live and open for public subscription. The company, which operates in the engineering consultancy and valuation space, aims to list its shares on the NSE SME platform. The IPO has attracted attention from retail investors and analysts, with the grey market premium suggesting moderate interest in the offering.

Monarch Surveyors has fixed the price band for its IPO at Rs 60 per share. The issue size comprises a fresh issue of equity shares with the aim of raising funds to support business expansion, meet working capital requirements, and cover general corporate expenses. The total issue size stands at approximately Rs 15 crore.

The IPO opened for subscription on July 22 and will close on July 25. The basis of allotment is expected to be finalized on July 26. Successful applicants can expect to see shares credited to their demat accounts by July 29, and the expected listing date on NSE SME is July 30.

The grey market premium GMP, a common indicator of investor sentiment before listing, was reported at around Rs 10 per share. This suggests a possible listing gain but also reflects cautious optimism. Market participants are advised to look beyond the GMP and examine the company’s financials, growth trajectory, and competitive position before making investment decisions.

Monarch Surveyors is engaged in land surveying, engineering consultancy, asset valuation, and project management services across sectors such as infrastructure, real estate, and construction. The firm has completed numerous projects in both private and public sectors and is expanding its footprint in India.

According to the company's draft prospectus, it has shown stable revenue and profit margins over recent years. However, its scale of operations remains modest, which is common among SME IPO candidates. Analysts suggest investors consider the risks associated with small-cap and SME listings, especially in volatile market conditions.

The lead manager for the IPO is Horizon Management, and KFin Technologies is the registrar to the issue. Investors can apply through eligible brokers and online platforms under the retail individual investor category.

Market experts advise investors to evaluate the overall sector potential, recent financial performance of the company, promoter track record, and peer comparison before subscribing. As with all SME IPOs, limited liquidity and post-listing volatility are potential risks to consider.

This IPO also comes at a time when several other small and mid-cap companies are tapping the market, creating an environment of active retail participation. The outcome of the Monarch Surveyors IPO may also depend on overall investor sentiment and market performance during the subscription window.

As the IPO progresses, investors are encouraged to track updates related to subscription status and final allotment, which can significantly influence the listing price and post-listing movement.

Market participants are advised to look beyond the GMP and examine the company’s financials, growth trajectory, and competitive position before making investment decisions.
