He emphasized the company’s commitment to digital inclusion and said that Reliance will continue to focus on expanding its presence in high-growth sectors such as technology, retail, and new energy.

Reliance Industries Limited, India’s largest conglomerate led by Chairman Mukesh Ambani, has posted its highest-ever quarterly net profit of Rs 26994 crore for the first quarter of the current financial year. The company’s stellar performance was powered by strong growth in its telecom and retail businesses, while its traditional oil-to-chemicals segment remained steady amid global challenges.

The telecom division, Reliance Jio, continued to be a major contributor to overall earnings. With a growing subscriber base and rising average revenue per user, Jio registered healthy growth in both revenue and profits. The company reported increased data consumption across its user base, aided by continued investment in 5G network expansion. Jio’s digital services revenue grew significantly compared to the same quarter last year, underlining its position as India’s leading telecom operator.

The retail arm of Reliance also reported a strong quarter, driven by higher footfalls, store expansions, and increased consumer spending. Reliance Retail added several new stores across cities and saw strong performance in both fashion and grocery segments. The company’s partnership with global brands and expansion into tier 2 and tier 3 cities has further helped strengthen its retail footprint. Digital commerce also saw a rise in demand, contributing positively to overall retail growth.

In the oil-to-chemicals business, which has traditionally been Reliance’s backbone, the company maintained stable earnings despite volatile global crude oil prices. While refining margins remained under pressure due to international market dynamics, efficient operations and product optimization helped the company maintain profitability in this segment.

Commenting on the results, Chairman Mukesh Ambani said that the company’s strategy of investing in consumer-centric businesses is showing strong results. He emphasized the company’s commitment to digital inclusion and said that Reliance will continue to focus on expanding its presence in high-growth sectors such as technology, retail, and new energy.

The company also highlighted its progress in the green energy sector, with ongoing projects aimed at building an integrated renewable energy ecosystem. Investments in solar, wind, and hydrogen are part of the group’s broader plan to become net carbon zero by 2035.

Reliance Industries’ consolidated revenue for the quarter stood at Rs 247128 crore, reflecting a broad-based performance across all major verticals. The company’s EBITDA rose by 14 percent year-on-year, demonstrating operational efficiency and a strong return on its investments.

Market analysts have viewed Reliance’s Q1 results as a positive indicator of its long-term growth strategy. The continued strength in consumer and digital businesses, combined with diversification and innovation, positions the company well for future growth.

As Reliance Industries continues to transform from a traditional energy company into a diversified consumer and technology powerhouse, its latest financial results highlight the success of its strategic shift and long-term vision.

The company’s stellar performance was powered by strong growth in its telecom and retail businesses, while its traditional oil-to-chemicals segment remained steady amid global challenges.
