Today, November 15, 2024, India’s stock markets, including the National Stock Exchange (NSE) and Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), will remain closed in celebration of Guru Nanak Jayanti, marking the birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev Ji, the founder of Sikhism. This public holiday is observed with great reverence, especially in regions like Punjab and Haryana.
As a result, there will be no trading in the equity, derivatives, or commodity markets. The markets will reopen on Monday, November 18, 2024. Investors and traders are advised to plan their activities accordingly, as market operations will resume on the next trading day.
During the closure, investors can still monitor their portfolios and conduct research, but any transactions or market orders will need to wait until the markets reopen.
