With the registration deadline approaching, aspirants are advised to complete the application process promptly and retain a copy of the confirmation page and fee receipt for future reference.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has reminded candidates that the registration window for the Common University Entrance Test for Postgraduate programmes, CUET PG 2026, will close on January 14. Aspirants seeking admission to postgraduate courses in central, state, deemed and private universities must complete the application process before the deadline through the official CUET PG portal.

In an advisory issued to candidates, NTA has urged applicants to avoid waiting until the last day to submit their forms. The agency has highlighted that heavy traffic on the website near the deadline could lead to technical difficulties, which may prevent successful submission of applications. Candidates are therefore encouraged to complete the registration process well in advance.

CUET PG is conducted as a national-level entrance examination to streamline admissions to postgraduate programmes across participating institutions. The test replaces multiple university-level entrance exams and provides a common platform for candidates seeking admission to various PG courses in disciplines such as science, humanities, commerce, social sciences and professional studies.

As per the advisory, candidates must ensure that all personal details, academic information and choice of programmes are filled in correctly. NTA has also instructed applicants to upload scanned copies of their photograph, signature and other required documents in the prescribed format and size. Any discrepancy or incorrect information may lead to rejection of the application at a later stage.

Applicants are also advised to carefully review the eligibility criteria of the universities and courses they are applying for. While CUET PG provides a common entrance test, admission criteria may vary across institutions based on subject combinations, merit lists and counselling procedures.

After the closure of the registration window, NTA is expected to open a correction window, allowing candidates to make limited changes to their application forms. However, certain fields such as mobile number, email ID and exam city preferences may not be editable, making it essential for candidates to exercise caution while filling out the form initially.

The CUET PG 2026 examination is expected to be conducted in a computer-based test format at designated centres across India. The exam pattern, duration and marking scheme will be announced through the official information bulletin. Candidates are advised to regularly check the official website for updates regarding exam dates, admit card release and result announcements.

NTA has reiterated that all official information related to CUET PG 2026 will be published only on its authorised websites. Candidates are cautioned against relying on unofficial sources or third-party websites for updates, as these may contain inaccurate or misleading information.

With the registration deadline approaching, aspirants are advised to complete the application process promptly and retain a copy of the confirmation page and fee receipt for future reference. Timely registration and adherence to official guidelines will help ensure a smooth application process for CUET PG 2026.

In an advisory issued to candidates, NTA has urged applicants to avoid waiting until the last day to submit their forms.
