The University of Delhi has released the official schedule for the third round of undergraduate admissions under the Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS) UG 2026. According to the university, mid entry registration will commence on August 3, providing another opportunity for eligible candidates who have not yet participated in the admission process or wish to be considered for available seats.
The university also announced that more than 71,000 students have confirmed their admissions during the earlier rounds of the CSAS UG 2026 admission process. The strong response reflects the continued demand for undergraduate programmes offered by Delhi University across various disciplines.
The Common Seat Allocation System serves as the centralized admission platform through which undergraduate admissions are conducted based on candidates' Common University Entrance Test scores and other applicable eligibility criteria. Through multiple admission rounds, the university aims to allocate seats efficiently while ensuring transparency and equal opportunity for applicants.
The third round of admissions will allow eligible candidates to participate in seat allocation for the remaining vacant seats across affiliated colleges and undergraduate programmes. Students who qualify under the prescribed admission guidelines will be able to update their preferences and complete the required admission formalities within the specified timeline.
The university has advised candidates to carefully review the admission schedule, important dates and eligibility conditions published on the official admission portal. Applicants are encouraged to complete all required steps within the prescribed deadlines, as failure to do so may result in cancellation of the allotted seat or loss of admission opportunities.
Mid entry registration has been introduced to enable eligible candidates who did not apply during the earlier phases to participate in the ongoing admission process. Such applicants will be considered only for seats that remain vacant after the previous allocation rounds, subject to eligibility and seat availability.
Candidates allotted seats during the third round will be required to complete document verification, fee payment and other admission formalities within the deadlines notified by the university. Admission will be confirmed only after successful verification of academic records and other mandatory documents.
Delhi University has advised applicants to regularly monitor the official CSAS admission portal for updates regarding seat allocation, vacant seat details, reporting schedules and further admission announcements. The university has also urged students to rely only on official notifications and avoid misinformation circulated through unofficial sources.
The CSAS UG admission process remains one of the largest centralized undergraduate admission systems in India, facilitating admissions to numerous colleges affiliated with Delhi University. With additional rounds of counselling and mid entry opportunities, the university aims to maximize seat utilization while providing admission opportunities to eligible candidates across the country.
