The University of Delhi has officially released the first cut-off list and college-wise allocation details for undergraduate admissions under the Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS) for the academic year 2025. The announcement marks the beginning of the crucial seat allotment process for thousands of students aspiring to secure admission in one of India's most prestigious universities.
As per the schedule released by Delhi University, the first allocation list is now live on the official CSAS admission portal. Students who have applied through the CSAS platform can log in using their credentials to view their allotted college and course, along with the required qualifying marks. The cut-offs for each programme vary significantly across colleges, influenced by factors such as past trends, student preferences, and available seats.
Top colleges such as St Stephen’s College, Hindu College, Miranda House, and Shri Ram College of Commerce continue to have high cut-offs for popular courses like Economics, English, Political Science, and BCom (Hons). For instance, the first cut-off for BA English (Hons) at Miranda House stands at 98.25 percent, while BCom (Hons) at SRCC remains among the highest with a cut-off of 98.75 percent.
Students who have been allotted a seat in the first round are required to accept the seat offer online through the CSAS portal by the specified deadline. Failing to do so may lead to the cancellation of the allotted seat and exclusion from subsequent rounds. Once the acceptance is submitted, colleges will verify the documents uploaded by the candidates. After successful verification, candidates must make the admission fee payment within the stipulated timeline to confirm their seat.
Delhi University will conduct multiple rounds of seat allocations depending on the number of vacant seats after each round. Students who are not allotted their preferred choice in the first round can opt for an upgrade in subsequent rounds. However, they must ensure timely acceptance and fee payment in the current round to stay eligible.
This year, the CSAS system continues to rely on CUET UG scores as the primary criteria for admission. Merit lists are prepared based on CUET score combinations depending on the course and subject preferences selected by the candidates during the application process. Reservation policies for various categories including SC, ST, OBC, EWS, and PwD have been applied as per government norms.
Delhi University officials have advised students and parents to regularly check the admission portal for updates and instructions related to the next rounds. A helpdesk is also available on the university website to assist with login issues, seat confirmation queries, and document submission guidelines.
The next allocation list will be released after the completion of admissions under the first round. With a large number of students competing for limited seats, aspirants are encouraged to act promptly and follow all procedures carefully to ensure a smooth admission process.
