The University of Mumbai has officially opened the pre-registration process for undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) admissions for the academic year 2025-26. Prospective students aiming to enroll in various disciplines, including arts, commerce, science, engineering, and management, across affiliated colleges can now begin their application process.
Mandatory ABC ID for Registration
In alignment with the University Grants Commission (UGC) guidelines implemented in 2023, it is now compulsory for all applicants to generate an Academic Bank of Credits (ABC) ID to complete the pre-registration process. The ABC ID serves as a digital repository of a student's academic credits, facilitating seamless mobility and credit transfer across institutions. Applicants can create their ABC ID by visiting the official portal: abc.gov.in.
Two-Phase Admission Process
Mumbai University's admission procedure will be conducted in two distinct phases:
Phase 1: Pre-registration before the declaration of qualifying exam results.
Phase 2: Final registration after the announcement of qualifying exam results.
This bifurcated approach applies to both UG and PG aspirants, ensuring a streamlined admission process.
