The CTET is a national level eligibility examination conducted to determine the qualification of candidates who wish to teach in central government schools such as Kendriya Vidyalayas, Navodaya Vidyalayas and other affiliated institutions. It is one of the most important certification exams for teaching aspirants in India.

According to the notification, candidates can now access the application form and begin the registration process. Applicants are required to carefully check eligibility criteria before submitting their forms to ensure they meet the academic and professional requirements set by the board.

The exam is conducted in two papers. Paper one is intended for candidates who wish to teach classes one to five, while paper two is for those aiming to teach classes six to eight. Candidates can choose to appear for either one or both papers depending on their teaching eligibility.

The exam schedule released by CBSE outlines the tentative timeline for the CTET September 2026 examination. The detailed timetable includes application deadlines, correction window dates, admit card release schedule and examination date. Candidates are advised to regularly check the official website for updates.

The admit card will be released a few days before the examination. It will contain important details such as exam centre, reporting time, candidate information and exam instructions. Candidates must carry a printed copy of the admit card along with valid identification proof to the examination centre.

The CTET exam is conducted in offline mode using an OMR based answer sheet. It consists of multiple choice questions covering subjects such as child development and pedagogy, language proficiency, mathematics and environmental studies depending on the paper.

The result of CTET September 2026 is expected to be announced a few weeks after the examination. Successful candidates will receive eligibility certificates which are valid for teaching recruitment in various central and participating schools.

Education experts note that CTET certification plays a key role in improving teaching standards and ensuring quality education in schools across India. It also enhances career opportunities for candidates seeking government teaching positions.

The Central Board of Secondary Education has encouraged candidates to complete the registration process early and avoid last minute technical issues. Applicants are also advised to read the official information bulletin carefully before applying.

Over the years, CTET has become a highly competitive examination with lakhs of candidates appearing for it across the country. The test evaluates teaching aptitude, subject knowledge and understanding of child learning processes.

With the release of the CTET September 2026 notification, aspirants now have clarity on the upcoming examination cycle. Candidates are expected to begin preparation based on the official syllabus and exam pattern provided by CBSE.
