The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has officially confirmed that the results for the Chartered Accountancy (CA) examinations held in May 2025 will be released on 6 July. The results will include all three levels of the exam — Foundation, Intermediate, and Final. This announcement comes as thousands of aspiring chartered accountants across the country wait in anticipation for their performance outcomes.
Candidates who appeared for the CA exams can check their results on the ICAI’s official result portal at icai.nic.in. To access their scorecards, candidates will need to log in using their registration number and roll number or PIN. The ICAI has urged students to ensure that they have their login credentials ready ahead of the result release date.
The Chartered Accountancy exams are known for their high academic standards and rigorous evaluation. ICAI sets specific passing criteria for each level of the CA programme:
1. CA Foundation Passing Criteria:
Candidates must secure a minimum of 40 percent marks in each subject and a minimum of 50 percent in aggregate across all subjects to pass the Foundation level.
2. CA Intermediate Passing Criteria:
Students need to score at least 40 percent marks in each paper and 50 percent marks in aggregate in either or both groups. Those appearing for both groups simultaneously can qualify either group individually or both together, depending on their scores.
3. CA Final Passing Criteria:
The criteria are the same as the Intermediate level — 40 percent in each paper and 50 percent in aggregate per group. Candidates appearing for both groups in a single attempt may qualify both together or separately based on their results.
In addition to publishing the results, ICAI will also release the list of top performers, including all-India rank holders, for both the Intermediate and Final levels. Merit lists will be made available on the same result website for candidates who qualify with outstanding scores.
After the results are released, students who are not satisfied with their marks can apply for revaluation or verification of answer sheets, as per ICAI’s official guidelines. Details regarding the process, fees, and deadlines for revaluation will be made available on the ICAI website shortly after the results are announced.
ICAI’s May 2025 session was conducted across several exam centres in India and abroad, with strict adherence to academic and procedural standards. The exams were held in offline mode and covered all major subjects under the respective course structures.
Students, teachers, and coaching institutes are all watching this result closely, as the CA exams continue to remain one of the most competitive professional examinations in the country. For many, these results mark a crucial step in their journey toward becoming chartered accountants.
Candidates are advised to visit the official ICAI website regularly for updates and to avoid relying on unofficial sources for result information.
