Akshat’s journey from All India Rank 72 in JEE Main to AIR 6 in JEE Advanced has captured the attention of the academic community. His story is not just about numbers, but about the sheer willpower, strategy, and dedication required to achieve excellence in India’s toughest engineering entrance exam. What makes his story stand out even more is the fact that he chose to pursue his dream without any Plan B.
Born and raised in a middle-class family, Akshat was introduced to science and mathematics early in life. His interest in problem-solving gradually grew into a dream—to study at one of the prestigious Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs). While many students opt for coaching as early as Class 8, Akshat began focused preparation during Class 11, balancing board exams and competitive exam demands with careful time management.
His JEE Main result, AIR 72, was impressive, but Akshat wasn’t satisfied. He saw JEE Advanced as his real challenge. He revisited his study plan with sharper focus, identifying weaknesses in Physics and Chemistry and working on them relentlessly. His day typically began at 5 a.m. and included structured study sessions, regular mock tests, and intense revision.
Akshat emphasized the importance of understanding concepts over rote memorization. “Solving previous years’ questions and analyzing my errors helped me more than just reading theory repeatedly,” he said. He relied heavily on NCERT books, coaching modules, and test series provided by his institute. He also credited his teachers and mentors for clearing doubts and offering emotional support during difficult phases.
Mental health was another area Akshat paid attention to. He incorporated short walks, limited screen time, and adequate sleep into his routine. Rather than scrolling through social media, he would spend spare time meditating or reflecting on his preparation progress. This kept him emotionally stable during the high-pressure months leading to the final exam.
When the JEE Advanced 2025 results were declared, Akshat was overwhelmed. AIR 6 was more than a rank—it was the realization of a long-cherished goal. With offers from top IITs and interest in Computer Science, Akshat is likely to join IIT Bombay or IIT Delhi.
His advice to future aspirants is clear: "Have clarity in your goal, work consistently, and don’t chase shortcuts. You don’t need a backup plan if your Plan A is solid and you're ready to give it everything you have."
Akshat’s story resonates with thousands of JEE aspirants and reflects how focus, self-belief, and hard work can help one rise to the top—no matter how tough the competition is.
