The Directorate of Government Examinations Tamil Nadu has announced that the application process for obtaining photocopies of Class 12 supplementary examination answer sheets is now live on the official website, dge.tn.gov.in. This facility enables students to review their evaluated scripts and, if necessary, request revaluation. Below are the key details candidates need to know.
Application Schedule and Eligibility
The application window is open from today and will close at 5 pm on the last date specified in the board’s notification. Only students who appeared for the Class 12 supplementary examinations held in July 2025 are eligible to apply. Candidates must ensure that their personal and examination details match those recorded during registration.
Steps to Apply
- Visit the official website dge.tn.gov.in and select the link titled “Higher Secondary Second Year Supplementary Answer Sheet Application.”
- Enter the examination roll number, date of birth, and security code to log in.
- Select the subject or subjects for which the photocopy or revaluation is required.
- Confirm the application details and proceed to pay the prescribed fee through the online payment gateway.
- Save and download the confirmation page for future reference.
Fee Structure
The fee for obtaining a photocopy of an answer script is ₹275 per subject. If a student wishes to apply for revaluation after reviewing the photocopy, an additional fee of ₹505 per subject will be charged. Payment must be completed online; offline modes such as demand drafts or cash will not be accepted.
Delivery and Revaluation Process
Photocopies of answer sheets will be mailed to the candidate’s registered email address within 10 working days of the application deadline. After receiving the script, students have a 48‑hour window to submit a revaluation request, if desired. Revaluation results will be published on the official website, and any changes in marks will be updated on the candidate’s final mark sheet.
Important Guidelines
- Applications submitted after the deadline will not be considered under any circumstances.
- Incomplete or incorrect applications are liable to be rejected without refund.
- Students must keep a printed copy of the payment receipt and application form until the revaluation process is complete.
- The board advises students to double‑check subject codes and other details before final submission to avoid errors.
Why Apply for Photocopies
Obtaining a photocopy allows candidates to verify the accuracy of mark allocation, confirm whether all answers were evaluated, and ensure that totals were calculated correctly. If discrepancies are found, the revaluation process offers a formal channel to correct genuine mistakes.
Contact Information
For technical assistance during the application process, students can call the helpline numbers listed on the DGE website between 10 am and 5 pm on working days. Queries related to eligibility or fees should be directed to the examination branch of the Directorate.
With the application window now open, eligible students are encouraged to apply promptly and follow the instructions provided by the Tamil Nadu Board to ensure a smooth and timely review of their supplementary answer scripts.
