TN TET Result 2026 Declared, Candidates Can Check Qualifying Status Online
The Tamil Nadu Teachers Recruitment Board has declared the results of the Tamil Nadu Teacher Eligibility Test 2026 for working teachers. Candidates who appeared for the examination can now check their qualifying status and marks through the board's official website at trb.tn.gov.in.
The examination was conducted on July 4 and 5, 2026, with Paper I held on July 4 and Paper II on July 5. The results and final answer key were published on October 12, 2026, according to reports on the board's announcement.
Candidates are advised to access the official website and follow the instructions provided by the Teachers Recruitment Board to view their results. They should keep their registration details and other required information ready before beginning the process.
Final Answer Key Released Along With Results
Before declaring the results, the board examined objections submitted by candidates against the provisional answer key. Subject experts reviewed the representations received within the prescribed period, and the final answer key was prepared following that review.
The final answer key is important because it forms the basis for evaluating candidates' responses. Where an answer is corrected or a question is treated differently under the final key, the marks awarded may differ from a candidate's initial calculation based on the provisional answers.
Candidates should therefore refer to the final answer key published by the board rather than relying on unofficial answer keys or estimates shared on social media.
The board has evaluated the candidates' Optical Mark Recognition answer sheets using the finalised key and the applicable evaluation rules. Candidates should check their official results to confirm their marks and qualifying status.

Why Is the TN TET Examination Important?
The Tamil Nadu Teacher Eligibility Test is designed to assess whether candidates meet the prescribed eligibility requirements for teaching positions covered by the examination. The test is an important qualification requirement for candidates seeking relevant teaching opportunities in the state.
The 2026 examination discussed in this announcement is specifically reported as the test for working teachers. Candidates should distinguish this result from other teacher recruitment examinations and eligibility tests, as the eligibility conditions and application procedures may differ.
Qualifying in a Teacher Eligibility Test does not automatically guarantee appointment to a teaching post. Recruitment may involve separate notifications, eligibility conditions, selection procedures, document verification and other requirements prescribed by the relevant authority.
Candidates who qualify should continue to monitor official announcements for information about eligibility certificates and any additional procedures that may apply to them.
What Should Candidates Do After the Results?
Candidates who have qualified should download and safely retain their result records. They should monitor the official website for announcements about eligibility certificates and further instructions.
Those who have not qualified should review the result and refer to the final answer key to understand the evaluation of their responses. They should rely on official notifications for information about future examinations, eligibility requirements and application schedules.
Candidates should also be cautious about messages from unofficial sources promising certificates, appointments or guaranteed selection in exchange for payment. Any fee or document submission requirement should be verified through an official notification before action is taken.
