The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) is likely to announce the results of the National Defence Academy (NDA) 1 and Naval Academy (NA) Examination 2025 in the coming days. Aspirants who appeared for the examination held on April 21, 2025, are advised to regularly check the official UPSC portal at upsc.gov.in for result updates and further instructions regarding the selection process.
The NDA and NA examinations are conducted twice a year by UPSC to recruit eligible candidates for permanent commissions in the Indian Armed Forces, including the Army, Navy, and Air Force.
Expected Result Timeline:
Although an official result date has not been confirmed, based on previous trends, the results are typically declared within 40-45 days of the exam. Therefore, candidates can expect the NDA 1 result by the end of May or early June 2025.
Marking Scheme:
The NDA 1 2025 exam consisted of two papers:
Mathematics – 300 marks
General Ability Test (GAT) – 600 marks
Each incorrect answer attracted a negative marking of 1/3rd of the marks assigned to that question.
To qualify, candidates must:
Score the minimum cut-off marks (which vary each year based on difficulty and competition).
Pass both the written exam and the SSB (Services Selection Board) interview, which is the second phase of the selection process.
Selection Process:
Candidates who clear the written exam will be shortlisted for the SSB Interview, which assesses psychological aptitude, leadership skills, and physical fitness. The final merit list will be prepared based on written exam scores and SSB performance.
