Reports citing the examination notice have listed the NTA helpline numbers as 011 40759000 and 011 69227700, along with the AIAPGET email address aiapget@nta.ac.in .

The National Testing Agency has announced a special re examination for 49 candidates who were unable to complete the All India Ayush Post Graduate Entrance Test 2026 at an examination centre in Jaipur because of a power failure.

The AIAPGET 2026 examination was conducted across the country on August 22 in Shift I. According to information released following the examination, 36,979 candidates had registered for the test, while 35,837 candidates appeared at 200 examination centres across the country. The examination was completed successfully for 35,788 candidates.

However, a disruption occurred at Shri Satya Sai PG College Centre in Jaipur. A total of 192 candidates appeared at the centre, but 49 candidates could not complete their examination because of the power failure.

Following the incident, the NTA decided that the affected candidates should be given another opportunity to complete the examination. The agency has therefore scheduled a separate re examination for all 49 candidates.

The re examination will be conducted on September 1, 2026, beginning at 10 am. The examination venue has also been changed. Instead of the earlier centre, the affected candidates will appear at Rajasthan College of Engineering for Women in Jaipur.

The NTA has said that revised admit cards will be issued to the candidates who are required to take the re examination. These admit cards will contain the updated examination centre and other important instructions.

Candidates who are included in the re examination should carefully check their revised admit cards once they are made available. They should not rely solely on details mentioned on their original admit cards because the examination venue has been changed for the affected group.

The NTA has also expressed regret over the inconvenience caused to the candidates because of the disruption at the examination centre. Reports based on the agency's notice said the power failure was attributed to Eduquity Career Technologies Private Limited, the examination conducting agency.

AIAPGET is a national level entrance examination conducted for admission to postgraduate AYUSH programmes. The examination is relevant to candidates seeking admission to postgraduate courses in systems including Ayurveda, Unani, Siddha and Homoeopathy.

The decision to conduct a separate examination for the affected candidates is intended to ensure that candidates who were unable to complete the original test because of the centre level disruption are not disadvantaged in the admission process.

The re examination applies specifically to the 49 candidates who were unable to complete the August 22 examination at the affected Jaipur centre. Candidates who successfully completed the examination have not been asked to take the re examination under the announcement.

The NTA has advised affected candidates to follow the instructions provided in their revised admit cards and monitor official examination updates for further information.

Candidates requiring clarification can contact the NTA through its official communication channels. Reports citing the examination notice have listed the NTA helpline numbers as 011 40759000 and 011 69227700, along with the AIAPGET email address aiapget@nta.ac.in.

The development is important for the affected candidates because AIAPGET scores are used in the admission process for postgraduate AYUSH programmes. A candidate's inability to complete an examination because of a technical or infrastructure-related disruption could otherwise create an unfair disadvantage.

By conducting a fresh examination for the affected group, the agency has provided those candidates with another opportunity to complete the entrance test under examination conditions.

Candidates should therefore keep their registration information ready, download the revised admit card when it becomes available and verify the reporting time, examination centre and other instructions before September 1.

The latest announcement does not indicate that the entire AIAPGET 2026 examination will be conducted again. The re examination is specifically for the 49 candidates affected by the power failure at the Jaipur examination centre.

For all other candidates who completed the AIAPGET 2026 examination successfully, the examination process continues according to the schedule and subsequent announcements issued by the National Testing Agency.
