The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the admit cards for the All India Sainik School Entrance Examination (AISSEE) 2026. Candidates who have successfully registered for the examination can now download their hall tickets from the official website, exams.nta.nic.in.
According to the official schedule, the AISSEE 2026 will be conducted on January 18, 2026. The examination will take place in pen-and-paper mode across 464 centres located throughout the country. The exam is being held for admission to Class 6 and Class 9 in Sainik Schools for the academic session 2026–27.
The admit card is a mandatory document for entry into the examination centre. Candidates must download and print the hall ticket and carry it along with a valid photo identity proof, such as an Aadhaar card, school ID card or any government-issued ID. Without these documents, candidates may not be allowed to appear for the examination.
The AISSEE is a national-level entrance examination conducted annually to select students for Sainik Schools, which are known for their disciplined environment and focus on academic excellence along with physical training. These schools aim to prepare students for entry into the National Defence Academy and other defence-related careers.
Candidates are advised to carefully verify all the details mentioned on the admit card, including their name, roll number, date of birth, exam centre address, reporting time and examination instructions. In case of any discrepancy, candidates should immediately contact the NTA through the official helpdesk.
The examination pattern for AISSEE 2026 remains unchanged. For Class 6, the test will assess candidates on subjects such as Mathematics, Language, Intelligence and General Knowledge. For Class 9, the paper will include Mathematics, English, Intelligence, General Science and Social Science. Candidates are encouraged to revise the syllabus thoroughly and manage their time effectively during the exam.
NTA has also issued general guidelines for candidates, including reaching the exam centre well before the reporting time, following COVID-appropriate behaviour if advised, and avoiding prohibited items such as electronic devices, calculators and study materials inside the examination hall.
Parents and candidates are advised to rely only on official websites for updates related to AISSEE 2026. Any further announcements regarding answer keys, results or counselling schedules will be published on the NTA’s official portal.
With the examination date approaching, candidates are encouraged to complete their final revisions and ensure all necessary documents are ready. Timely downloading of the admit card and adherence to exam-day instructions will help ensure a smooth and stress-free examination experience.
