The Indian Institutes of Management have activated the objection window for the provisional answer key of the Common Admission Test 2025. Candidates who appeared for the national-level management entrance examination can now check their recorded responses and raise objections against any answer they believe is incorrect. The facility will remain open till December 10, giving aspirants a limited window to submit their challenges online.
To access the answer key, candidates are required to visit the official CAT examination website and log in using their registered user ID and password. Once logged in, they can view the question paper, their recorded responses, and the official provisional answer key. This transparent process allows students to compare their answers and estimate their expected scores before the final results are declared.
In case a candidate finds any discrepancy, they may submit an objection by selecting the question and providing supporting justification. Each objection is subject to a non-refundable processing fee as notified on the official portal. The objections submitted by candidates will be examined by a panel of subject experts. If a challenge is found to be valid, the concerned answer will be revised in the final answer key.
The final CAT 2025 answer key will be released after the objection review process is completed. The results of the examination will be prepared based on this revised final key. Any changes made at this stage will directly impact the percentile scores and rankings of candidates. Therefore, aspirants are advised to carefully verify all answers before the deadline.
CAT remains one of the most competitive entrance examinations in the country, conducted annually for admission into postgraduate management programmes at the Indian Institutes of Management and other leading business schools. The exam tests candidates on quantitative ability, data interpretation, logical reasoning, and verbal ability. Lakhs of students appear for the examination each year, aiming to secure seats in top management institutes.
The answer key objection mechanism plays a critical role in maintaining transparency and fairness in the examination process. It ensures that any potential errors in the provisional key are addressed before the declaration of results. This process also strengthens the credibility of the examination system and gives candidates a fair opportunity to raise genuine concerns.
After the release of the final answer key, the CAT 2025 results are expected to be announced on the official website. Candidates who qualify based on the cut-off scores will then be shortlisted for further selection stages, including group discussions, written ability tests, and personal interviews conducted by various IIMs and participating institutes. Each institute will publish its own shortlist and admission criteria.
Candidates are advised to regularly check the official CAT website for updates related to the objection window, final answer key, and result declaration. It is also recommended that they keep copies of their login credentials and payment receipts for future reference. As the next stages of the admission process approach, timely action during this objection window can be crucial for ensuring an accurate evaluation of their performance.
