The National Testing Agency (NTA) has officially opened registration for CUET PG 2025, allowing eligible candidates to apply until February 1, 2025. The exam is scheduled to take place between March 13 and 31, 2025. CUET PG serves as a central admission platform for postgraduate programs across Central Universities and other participating institutions. Candidates must ensure they submit their applications by February 1, with the fee payment deadline set for February 2, 2025. The application correction window will remain open until February 5, and candidates can check their examination city allocation in early March. Admit cards will be made available four days before the exam.
In terms of the exam pattern, the NTA has introduced several significant changes. The duration of the CUET PG exam has been reduced to 90 minutes, down from 1 hour 45 minutes (105 minutes) last year. Despite the shortened exam duration, the number of questions remains unchanged at 75. The marking scheme remains the same, with 4 marks awarded for each correct answer and a deduction of 1 mark for incorrect responses. Unanswered questions will receive no marks. Candidates also have the option to choose up to four question paper codes from a provided list, and the comprehension section of the General Paper will be available in either English or Hindi, depending on the candidate’s preference.
The application fee for CUET PG 2025 has seen an increase of Rs 200 across all categories, including General, OBC, SC, ST, and PwD candidates. The new fee structure applies for up to two test papers within India, with additional papers incurring a fee of Rs 100 per test. For international candidates, the fee hike is even steeper, with an increase of Rs 1,000 for up to two papers and Rs 1,500 for additional papers. Furthermore, candidates will now be able to choose up to four cities for their examination centers, an increase from the previous limit of two. However, the number of exam cities within India has been reduced to 285, while international test centers have been expanded to include new locations in Abu Dhabi (UAE), Oslo (Norway), and Frankfurt/Berlin (Germany).
