The Haryana Board of School Education has released the admit cards for the 2026 screening examination being conducted for the selection of teachers and school heads for Government Model Sanskriti Schools, PM Shri Schools, Chief Minister Excellence Schools and Elementary English Schools.

The Haryana Board of School Education has released the admit cards for the 2026 screening examination being conducted for the selection of teachers and school heads for Government Model Sanskriti Schools, PM Shri Schools, Chief Minister Excellence Schools and Elementary English Schools.

According to the latest examination information, the admit cards were made available on August 18, 2026. The written examination is scheduled to be conducted on August 22, 2026, from 2 pm to 3.30 pm. Around 21,096 candidates are expected to appear for the examination across 69 centres established at the Commissionerate level.

Candidates can download their admit cards through the official HBSE website using their Employee ID and mobile number. The Board has advised all candidates to carefully read the instructions printed on their admit cards and follow the examination centre rules.

The examination will be conducted in OMR based pen and paper format. Candidates will receive multiple choice questions, with each question carrying one mark. An important feature of the examination is that there will be no negative marking for incorrect answers.

The examination is intended to select teachers and school heads for various government school categories in Haryana. Candidates should therefore ensure that they have checked their examination details, reporting requirements and centre information before the examination day.

One of the important aspects highlighted by HBSE concerns candidates who require assistance from a scribe. Blind, visually impaired and certain disabled candidates who are unable to write by hand can seek the scribe facility subject to the prescribed conditions.

Candidates seeking a scribe must carry a medical certificate issued by the Chief Medical Officer confirming a disability of at least 40 percent. They must also produce the required documents relating to the person acting as the scribe. These include original and attested copies of the scribe's educational qualification and date of birth documents.

Candidates using a scribe must also carry two recent passport size photographs of the scribe, a photo identity card or Aadhaar card and verified permanent or temporary address details. The Board has specified these requirements as part of the verification process.

Another important instruction is that candidates seeking scribe assistance must visit the examination centre one day before the examination. They are required to obtain approval for the scribe from the examination centre superintendent.

Eligible blind, visually impaired and disabled candidates will receive additional examination time. According to the reported HBSE instructions, candidates in this category will receive 30 minutes of extra time, regardless of whether they actually use a scribe. The additional time is calculated at the rate of 20 minutes for every hour of examination.

Candidates can obtain the required SPL 1 proforma from the HBSE website for the scribe related process. The Board has also specified that the educational qualification of the scribe should not be higher than the senior secondary level.

Apart from the scribe provisions, all candidates should follow the general instructions mentioned on their admit cards. They should check their name, photograph, examination centre, roll number and other details well before reaching the venue.

Candidates are advised to reach the examination centre with sufficient time before the examination begins. This will allow them to complete any required verification and avoid difficulties caused by delays.

The screening examination will be held across 69 centres, making advance planning particularly important for candidates travelling from different parts of Haryana. Candidates should plan their route and travel time according to the reporting instructions mentioned on their admit card.

The Board has also provided a helpline for candidates requiring assistance. According to the examination information, candidates can contact the HBSE helpline at 01664 254305 or use the email address provided by the Board for examination related queries.

The release of the admit cards marks an important stage in the recruitment and selection process. Candidates now have limited time to complete their final preparations and ensure that all necessary documents are ready.

Those who require a scribe should pay particular attention to the documentation requirements because approval must be obtained before the examination. Candidates should not wait until the examination day to complete this process.

The HBSE teacher and school head screening examination is therefore set to take place on August 22, with thousands of candidates expected to participate. The combination of OMR based testing, multiple choice questions and no negative marking provides candidates with a clearly defined examination format.

Candidates should rely on the latest instructions issued by the Haryana Board rather than unofficial information circulating online. Any changes or additional directions should be checked through the official HBSE website before the examination.

With the examination scheduled for August 22, candidates are advised to download their admit cards, verify all details, prepare the required documents and follow the instructions carefully to ensure a smooth examination experience.

Blind, visually impaired and certain disabled candidates who are unable to write by hand can seek the scribe facility subject to the prescribed conditions.
