The National Testing Agency is expected to release the JEE Main 2026 admit card by January 17, as indicated in the official bulletin released for the examination. While NTA has not issued a separate notification confirming the exact date, the timeline mentioned in the bulletin has led candidates to anticipate the hall ticket release within this window.
The Joint Entrance Examination Main is one of the most important national-level entrance exams for students aspiring to pursue undergraduate engineering, architecture, and planning programmes in India. JEE Main scores are used for admission to NITs, IIITs, and other centrally funded technical institutions, as well as for eligibility to appear in JEE Advanced for admission to IITs.
Once released, candidates will be able to download the JEE Main 2026 admit card from the official website jeemain.nta.ac.in by logging in with their application number and date of birth or password. The admit card is a mandatory document for entry into the examination hall and must be carried in printed form on the exam day.
The hall ticket will include essential details such as the candidate’s name, roll number, photograph, signature, exam date, reporting time, shift, test centre address, and exam-day instructions. Candidates are advised to carefully verify all information printed on the admit card. In case of discrepancies such as incorrect personal details or exam centre errors, they should immediately contact the NTA helpdesk for correction.
Ahead of the admit card release, the NTA has already issued the city intimation slip, which informs candidates about the city where their examination centre is located. The admit card will provide the exact venue details along with shift timing. JEE Main 2026 is expected to be conducted in multiple shifts across several days to accommodate the large number of candidates appearing for the exam.
On the day of the examination, candidates must carry a valid photo identity proof along with the admit card. Accepted ID proofs include Aadhaar card, PAN card, voter ID, passport, or driving licence. Electronic devices, study material, calculators, and personal belongings are strictly prohibited inside the exam centre.
The NTA has advised candidates to follow all exam-related guidelines mentioned on the admit card, including reporting time and COVID-related or security instructions, if applicable. Late entry into the examination hall may not be permitted under any circumstances.
Candidates are encouraged to keep checking the official NTA and JEE Main websites for real-time updates regarding the admit card release, exam schedule, and further announcements.
