The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has officially announced the rescheduling of the RRB NTPC CBTST re-examination for graduate-level Non-Technical Popular Categories (NTPC) posts. Originally planned for December 28, 2025, the re-exam will now take place on February 11, 2026. The decision affects candidates who had opted for the rescheduled examination after the December session, providing them sufficient time to prepare and adjust their schedules accordingly.
As part of the updated schedule, the RRB will release the exam city slips on February 1, 2026. Candidates are advised to check these slips promptly to confirm their designated examination centres and make necessary travel arrangements. Hall tickets for the re-exam will be issued four days prior to the examination, which is expected to be around February 7, 2026. This step ensures candidates have adequate time to plan their travel and other logistics, especially those travelling from different cities.
This recruitment drive encompasses a total of 5,810 vacancies under the graduate-level NTPC category. The posts include various roles across India’s vast railway network, making this one of the most significant government recruitment initiatives. Candidates selected through this process will be appointed in positions crucial to the day-to-day operations of the Indian Railways.
The RRB has emphasized the importance of relying solely on official notifications and updates available on the RRB websites. In a statement, the Board cautioned candidates against misinformation circulating on social media and third-party platforms. Candidates have been reminded to avoid following unverified sources and to check all recruitment-related updates directly from the official RRB websites to ensure authenticity.
The rescheduling of the RRB NTPC re-exam provides additional time for candidates to revisit important topics, revise exam strategies, and address any concerns related to the examination centre locations. With the exam city slips released in advance, candidates can arrange travel, accommodation, and other requirements without last-minute stress.
In addition to exam preparation, candidates are advised to review the official RRB guidelines regarding exam day protocols, permitted items, and safety measures. This ensures a smooth examination experience and prevents unnecessary complications at the examination centre.
The RRB NTPC examination is a highly competitive government exam, and the rescheduling reflects the Board’s commitment to facilitating fair opportunities for all candidates. Students and job aspirants are encouraged to continue preparing thoroughly and stay updated with official announcements to avoid missing any critical information.
With over 5,800 graduate-level NTPC vacancies on offer, the upcoming re-exam on February 11, 2026, represents a crucial opportunity for thousands of candidates across India seeking a career in Indian Railways.
