The detailed schedule has been published on the NTA’s official website, nta.ac.in, allowing candidates sufficient time to prepare for their upcoming assessments.
As per the released notification, the SWAYAM 16 examinations will commence on June 17, 2026, and will continue until June 21, 2026. To ensure smooth conduct of the examinations and to address any logistical or technical challenges, the NTA has also kept June 22 and June 23, 2026, as buffer dates. These additional dates may be utilised in case of unforeseen situations or rescheduling requirements.
The SWAYAM platform is a flagship initiative of the Government of India aimed at providing free online education to learners across the country. It offers a wide range of courses developed by leading institutions, including IITs, central universities, and other premier educational bodies. The semester-end examinations play a crucial role in enabling candidates to earn certificates for their completed courses.
Candidates appearing for the SWAYAM January 2026 exams are advised to regularly monitor the official website for updates related to subject-wise exam dates, admit card release, exam centres, and instructions. The examinations will be conducted in a computer-based format at designated test centres across India.
The NTA is expected to release admit cards a few weeks before the examination dates. Candidates will need to download their admit cards from the official portal using their application credentials. It is mandatory to carry the admit card along with a valid photo identity proof to the examination centre.
Learners are also advised to carefully read all exam-related guidelines issued by the NTA, including reporting time, prohibited items, and examination protocols. Any updates regarding changes in schedule or additional instructions will be communicated through the official website.
The release of the SWAYAM January 2026 semester exam dates is an important milestone for students planning their academic timelines. With the schedule now confirmed, candidates can focus on revision and preparation to perform well in their respective courses.
