Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann announced on Tuesday that the state government would be launching a large-scale recruitment initiative for both the health and education sectors. This announcement comes after the government had already provided approximately 50,000 jobs to the youth.
Speaking at an event where he distributed appointment letters to new recruits, Mann emphasized the government's commitment to creating ample opportunities for young people to succeed. Along with offering new job opportunities, the government is also examining the possibility of accommodating those who missed out on job opportunities due to age limitations during their protest for employment.
Addressing the youth, Mann encouraged them to understand that there are no shortcuts to success, stressing that hard work remains the key to achieving their goals.
The Chief Minister expressed pride in the fact that around 50,000 young people had been selected for government jobs purely based on merit. He further assured that these new recruits would play an essential role in serving the public and ensuring the welfare of all sections of society.
Mann also reiterated his administration’s focus on transforming Punjab into a hub for medical education. Work is already in progress to construct new medical colleges in cities such as SAS Nagar (Mohali), Kapurthala, Sangrur, Hoshiarpur, and Malerkotla. These institutions aim to enhance the state's status in medical education and healthcare services.
The Chief Minister concluded by reaffirming the government's commitment to improving employment opportunities and fostering the well-being of the state's youth.
