The Railway Recruitment Boards (RRB) have announced the recruitment notification RRB CEN No. 08/2024 for 32,438 Level 1 positions under the 7th CPC Pay Matrix. The application process will remain open until February 22, 2025. Candidates can pay the application fee online until February 24, 2025. A modification window will be available from February 25 to March 6, 2025, for corrections to submitted applications.
Selection Process for RRB Recruitment 2025
The recruitment process involves four stages:
- Computer-Based Test (CBT): Candidates must answer 100 questions in 90 minutes. There is a penalty for incorrect answers, with 1/3rd of a mark deducted for each wrong response.
- Physical Efficiency Test (PET): Candidates who qualify for the CBT will proceed to the PET stage.
- Document Verification: Documents will be verified for shortlisted candidates.
- Medical Examination: A final medical examination will determine the fitness of candidates for the positions.
Application Fee Details
The application fee for all candidates is ₹500. However, upon appearing for the CBT, ₹400 will be refunded after deducting applicable bank charges.
For candidates belonging to categories such as PwBD, SC/ST, female, transgender, ex-servicemen, minority communities, or economically backward classes, the fee is ₹250. This amount will also be refunded after deducting bank charges upon participation in the CBT.
The fee can be paid online through internet banking, debit/credit cards, UPI, or other available payment options.
