Interested applicants must first register themselves on the SSC portal, fill in the required details, upload a scanned photograph and signature, and pay the application fee.

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) is nearing the end of the registration window for the Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS) Recruitment 2025. This year, the commission has announced more than 8000 vacancies across various ministries, departments, and offices under the central government. Candidates who are interested in applying for these positions must visit the official website at ssc.gov.in and complete their application process at the earliest.

The SSC MTS examination is one of the most sought-after entry-level government job exams in India. It provides opportunities for candidates to work in Group C non-gazetted, non-ministerial posts across various government institutions. The roles primarily involve general duties such as peon, chowkidar, safaiwala, junior operator, and others. These positions are spread across several states and union territories.

To apply, candidates must meet the basic eligibility criteria which include having passed the Class 10 examination from a recognized board. The age limit generally ranges from 18 to 25 years, although age relaxation is applicable for candidates belonging to reserved categories as per government norms.

The application process is entirely online. Interested applicants must first register themselves on the SSC portal, fill in the required details, upload a scanned photograph and signature, and pay the application fee. The fee can be paid through online modes such as debit card, credit card, or net banking. Candidates are advised to keep a copy of the confirmation page for future reference.

Once the registration period ends, the SSC will issue admit cards for the MTS examination, which is expected to be held in multiple phases. The selection process includes a Computer-Based Examination (CBE), followed by a Physical Efficiency Test (PET) or Physical Standard Test (PST), depending on the post applied. Final selection will be based on the performance in these stages and document verification.

Applicants should also regularly check the official SSC website for updates regarding the exam schedule, syllabus, and other instructions. The Commission may release region-wise admit cards and notifications, so it is crucial for candidates to be aware of region-specific portals as well.

The SSC MTS exam provides not just job security but also several other benefits such as fixed working hours, regular salary increments, and pension after retirement. It is a major opportunity for individuals looking to start a career in the government sector with minimum educational qualification.

With the last date for application drawing close, candidates are strongly encouraged to complete the registration process promptly to avoid technical issues or server delays. The SSC has made it clear that no extension will be granted beyond the final date. Those planning to appear should begin their preparations in earnest and make use of official resources and previous year question papers for effective study.
