Nani’s upcoming film The Paradise is heading toward its theatrical release with significant attention from trade circles and audiences. The Srikanth Odela directorial is scheduled to release worldwide on September 24, 2026, with paid premiere shows in select markets beginning on September 23.
The film has already recorded strong advance sales ahead of its theatrical debut. According to industry tracker Sacnilk, The Paradise had crossed Rs 7 crore in advance sales across its first four days as of September 22, when block seats were included. India Today reported that approximately 72,000 tickets had been sold during the early booking period.
The latest Sacnilk figures provide a higher updated booking estimate, with advance sales across four days reaching about Rs 18.58 crore when block seats are included. Without block seats, the figure was around Rs 3.94 crore at the time of the September 22 update. The difference is important because trade trackers may report advance-booking totals differently depending on whether blocked or reserved ticket inventory is included.
The Paradise stars Nani in the lead role and is directed by Srikanth Odela, who previously worked with the actor on Dasara. The upcoming film is positioned as an action drama and is being released in multiple languages.
The film has also received an A certificate from the Central Board of Film Certification. Reports said the certification followed changes suggested by the censor board, with the film containing violent sequences and strong language. The reported runtime is close to three hours.
The reported theatrical business of The Paradise has also attracted attention. Sacnilk reported that the film has a worldwide theatrical business valuation of around Rs 103.75 crore. Based on trade estimates, the film would need a worldwide share of more than Rs 105 crore, translating to roughly Rs 200 crore in worldwide gross, to reach the reported break even point.
These figures are trade estimates and should not be treated as official producer figures unless the makers release audited or confirmed numbers. Box office terminology can also differ between distributors, exhibitors and trade trackers.
The reported break even target has created considerable interest because it represents a significantly higher commercial benchmark than Nani’s previous releases. According to Sacnilk’s trade analysis, Nani’s recent worldwide gross records include Dasara at approximately Rs 118.50 crore and HIT: The Third Case at around Rs 119.48 crore. The Paradise therefore has a substantially higher reported target if the Rs 200 crore break even estimate is used.
The opening day is expected to be particularly important for the film. Early trade projections have placed the worldwide opening around Rs 50 crore, while some estimates have suggested a figure closer to Rs 60 crore. These are projections rather than confirmed collections, and the actual opening will depend on occupancy, ticket sales, premiere collections and audience response after release.
Advance bookings have shown strong activity in the Telugu-speaking markets. Sacnilk’s September 22 data showed Hyderabad among the leading cities for Day 1 advance bookings, while Bengaluru and Visakhapatnam also recorded notable sales. The Telugu version accounts for the overwhelming majority of the reported early bookings.
The film is also attracting attention in overseas markets. Earlier reports indicated strong advance sales in North America, adding another market to the film’s overall theatrical business. Overseas performance will be important because the reported break even calculation is based on worldwide theatrical economics rather than India collections alone.
The Paradise marks the second collaboration between Nani and director Srikanth Odela after Dasara. That earlier film became an important commercial title for Nani and provides a reference point for trade observers tracking the new release.
The upcoming film is produced by Sudhakar Cherukuri under the SLV Cinemas banner. The cast includes Kayadu Lohar, Raghav Juyal, Mohan Babu and Sonali Kulkarni in important roles. Anirudh Ravichander has composed the music for the film.
The release strategy is also notable. The film is scheduled for its worldwide theatrical release on September 24, while paid premiere shows are planned in selected markets on September 23. The additional premiere shows could contribute to the opening figures before the regular release day.
With the release now only a short time away, attention is likely to remain focused on advance bookings, screen allocation and opening day occupancy. If the current booking momentum continues, the film could post a substantial opening, but the actual box office performance will only become clear after theatrical release.
The Rs 200 crore break even figure should therefore be viewed as a reported trade target rather than a confirmed collection requirement announced by the producers. Likewise, projections of Rs 50 crore or Rs 60 crore for the opening day remain estimates and are subject to change.
The Paradise enters theatres with a combination of high pre-release business, strong advance booking activity and considerable expectations surrounding Nani and Srikanth Odela’s second collaboration. The film’s performance over its opening weekend and subsequent weekdays will determine how close it moves toward the reported worldwide break even target.
