Union Home Minister Amit Shah has announced that all Agniveers in Haryana will be guaranteed government jobs along with pension benefits once they complete their service under the Agnipath Scheme. The announcement was made during a public rally where Shah assured the youth of Haryana that the government is committed to their future and welfare.
The Agnipath Scheme, which recruits young individuals for a four-year service period in the armed forces, has drawn national attention since its inception. Addressing concerns about post-service employment, Shah emphasized that the Haryana government, under the leadership of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), will ensure that every Agniveer who completes their service will be provided with secure job opportunities in the state. Moreover, these jobs will include pension benefits to ensure long-term financial security for the veterans.
“Agniveers who serve the nation will not be left behind once their duty is done. In Haryana, they will have government jobs waiting for them, and they will receive pension benefits to secure their future,” Shah stated. He highlighted the BJP's efforts to create avenues for youth employment and to recognize the sacrifices made by those who serve in the armed forces.
This promise is seen as a significant move to bolster the Agnipath Scheme, as questions regarding the future of Agniveers after their four-year service have been widely debated. Shah's assurance aims to ease concerns and provide clarity on the government’s long-term plans for the welfare of Agniveers in Haryana.
The Home Minister also called upon the youth of Haryana to participate actively in the Agnipath Scheme, reassuring them that the government is prepared to support their career transitions after military service. By guaranteeing jobs with pension benefits, the government is seeking to provide stability and security to those who have served the nation through the Agnipath initiative.
Shah's announcement is expected to have a significant impact on the scheme’s popularity in Haryana, encouraging more young people to join the initiative with the confidence that their future will be safeguarded after their service tenure ends.
