Manoj Parmar, a businessman under investigation by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in Madhya Pradesh, and his wife, Neha, were discovered dead at their residence in Sehore district on Friday morning in an apparent suicide. According to the police, the couple had visited a temple in Susner with their three children the previous evening and returned home late at night. After their children went to bed, the couple did not wake up on Friday morning. Their elder son, concerned, went to check on them and found both of them dead.

Parmar left behind a five-page note detailing the alleged harassment he faced during the ED’s raid at his home. In the note, he accused ED officers of physically assaulting him and claimed that the raid was prompted after the ED team discovered a photograph of senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi at his residence. Parmar stated that an ED officer explicitly mentioned that this connection was the reason for the investigation.

The tragic incident has raised serious concerns about the treatment of individuals under investigation and has sparked debates regarding the alleged misuse of power. Authorities are investigating the circumstances surrounding the deaths, while the families and supporters of Parmar demand justice and accountability.
