President Droupadi Murmu has arrived in Bhubaneswar to participate in the 18th edition of the Pravasi Bharatiya Divas, a significant event that celebrates the role of the Indian diaspora in the country’s development. The event, held annually, serves as a platform for fostering closer connections between India and its global community.
In her address, President Murmu is expected to highlight the achievements of overseas Indians, their contribution to the nation’s growth, and the importance of their ongoing involvement in India’s development journey. The event will bring together prominent members of the diaspora, government officials, and thought leaders to discuss key issues affecting the global Indian community.
The Pravasi Bharatiya Divas also serves as a critical opportunity for India to strengthen diplomatic and economic ties with countries that host large Indian populations. It underscores India’s commitment to engaging with its diaspora and recognizing their role in promoting cultural, economic, and social exchange between India and the world.
This year's Pravasi Bharatiya Divas promises to offer a fresh perspective on how the Indian diaspora can contribute to shaping India’s future in the global arena.
