Coimbatore City Police Commissioner Dr N Kannan, who has been recognised for his distinguished service in the police department, was felicitated by office-bearers of the Coimbatore City and District Retired Police Officers Welfare Association.
The Union Government conferred the President’s Medal on Dr N Kannan in July this year in recognition of his service. The award is regarded as an important recognition of distinguished service in the police force.
Following the honour, representatives of the Coimbatore City and District Retired Police Officers Welfare Association met Dr N Kannan in person and congratulated him. The association members honoured the Commissioner by presenting him with a shawl and conveyed their appreciation for his service and achievement.
The meeting was organised to acknowledge the Commissioner’s contribution to the police department and to congratulate him on receiving the prestigious recognition.
