Dil Raju Takes Charge as Telangana Film Development Corporation Chairman, Plans to Make Hyderabad the Hub of Indian Cinema
On December 18, noted film producer V. Venkata Ramana Reddy, popularly known as Dil Raju, assumed office as the new chairman of the Telangana Film Development Corporation (FDC). The occasion coincided with his birthday, adding to the significance of the event.
In his inaugural address, Dil Raju shared his ambitious vision to elevate Hyderabad into a central hub for the Indian film industry. While the city already hosts shoots for various Hindi and regional language films, Raju emphasized the role of Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy’s vision to position Hyderabad as the ultimate one-stop destination for filmmakers across the country.
As a key figure in the film industry, Dil Raju also acknowledged the concerns of producers and distributors, particularly their need for a streamlined process to obtain shooting permissions. He expressed his commitment to facilitating better communication between the government and film stakeholders to address these issues. Specifically, Raju called for a single-window approval system for filmmakers to ensure hassle-free access to locations and necessary permits for shoots.
Reflecting on the past, Raju pointed out that the FDC was once deeply involved with the day-to-day workings of the film industry, and he aims to revive that collaborative era where both the FDC and filmmakers could work together for mutual benefit. To achieve this, he intends to work closely with organizations like the Telugu Film Chamber of Commerce and the Telangana Film Chamber of Commerce to ensure that issues affecting the film industry are promptly addressed by the government.

The Telugu Film Chamber of Commerce congratulated him and expressed confidence that, under his leadership, the film industry in Telangana would reach new heights. Several film personalities also extended their best wishes to Dil Raju, hopeful that his experience and vision will bring about positive changes for the industry.
