In an effort to improve the relationship between the public and the police, the state police of Hyderabad have introduced a revolutionary technology-driven feedback mechanism. On Thursday, the Director General of Police (DGP) Jitender launched the new system virtually, aimed at collecting public feedback on police services. This new initiative involves the use of QR codes, enabling citizens to provide real-time feedback regarding various police services, ensuring transparency, accountability, and faster resolution of issues.

The system is designed to cover a range of police services, from petition submissions and FIR (First Information Report) registrations to traffic violation e-challans and passport verification services. Citizens can now voice their experiences and concerns regarding these services more conveniently. The initiative is part of a broader plan to improve the public-police relationship and ensure that citizens' concerns are addressed in a timely and efficient manner.

The launch event was attended virtually by the Commissioner of Police, Avinash Mohanty, and Joint CP D Joel Davis, along with senior officers from various branches of the Cyberabad police. They highlighted the importance of this new initiative in fostering a better rapport between the public and the police force, especially in an era where digital communication is crucial for engagement.

To use the system, citizens simply need to scan the QR codes displayed at various police stations and police facilities. This easy-to-use system enables the public to provide feedback about their experiences, which will help the police identify areas of improvement and resolve any grievances that may arise. In addition to QR codes, citizens can also provide feedback by contacting the citizen feedback call center, which is managed by the Centre of Excellence-CID.

One of the key features of the new initiative is the possibility for citizens and officers to submit suggestions for improvement, which can be sent to the dedicated email address coefvts@gmail.com. This ensures that the feedback process is not just limited to complaints but also includes proactive suggestions for enhancing the services offered by the police.

The new feedback mechanism is an essential part of Hyderabad's ongoing efforts to improve the quality of public services. By using technology, the police can collect instant feedback, analyze patterns, and take quick corrective actions, if necessary. This initiative also aims to make the police force more approachable and responsive to the needs of the public, which is essential in building trust and promoting community cooperation.

With the adoption of this system, Hyderabad’s police department is taking a significant step towards digital transformation and modernization. The use of QR codes, an easily accessible tool, ensures that even those with limited access to technology can participate in providing valuable feedback. The new system not only empowers citizens but also helps the police improve their services based on real-time insights, ultimately benefiting the community as a whole.

This initiative will also contribute to strengthening the overall governance framework of the police department, making it more responsive and attuned to the evolving needs of the public. As the system is rolled out across the state, it will allow citizens to engage more actively with law enforcement and play a vital role in shaping the quality of services provided by the police. The public-police relationship is crucial for maintaining law and order, and such initiatives help in fostering a positive environment for cooperation and mutual respect.

In conclusion, Hyderabad’s state police department’s technology-driven initiative to collect public feedback via QR codes marks a significant milestone in its efforts to improve services, enhance transparency, and foster better community relations. The feedback system offers a seamless, convenient, and effective way for citizens to communicate their experiences and suggestions, ensuring continuous improvement and accountability in police services.

They highlighted the importance of this new initiative in fostering a better rapport between the public and the police force, especially in an era where digital communication is crucial for engagement.
