The holy city of Ayodhya is once again in the spotlight as thousands of devotees gathered at the Ram Janmabhoomi temple to witness the beginning of the Ram Darbar Pran Pratishtha rituals. The sacred ceremony marks an important phase in the religious and cultural journey of the newly constructed Ram temple, which holds immense significance for millions of Hindus worldwide.
The Pran Pratishtha, which refers to the ritualistic consecration of idols by invoking life into them through Vedic mantras and prescribed spiritual procedures, began with full devotion and grandeur. The idols of Lord Ram, Sita, Lakshman, and Hanuman are being consecrated as part of the Ram Darbar ensemble in the sanctum sanctorum of the temple. The rituals are being conducted in accordance with ancient Hindu scriptures and under the supervision of renowned Vedic scholars and acharyas.
The temple premises echoed with the sound of Vedic chants, shlokas, and bhajans, as devotees took part in the ceremonies with folded hands and deep reverence. The atmosphere was deeply spiritual, with incense, flowers, and devotional music adding to the sacred environment. Authorities made elaborate arrangements to ensure the smooth conduct of the rituals. Barricades were placed to manage the large crowd and ensure safe movement of devotees.
Medical aid stations, drinking water stalls, sanitation services, and volunteers were also deployed across the temple complex to assist pilgrims. Special passes were issued to ensure regulated access for devotees, priests, and media representatives. The temple management has also requested devotees to follow all guidelines and maintain discipline during the days of the Pran Pratishtha.
The Ram Janmabhoomi site has witnessed massive transformation since the construction of the grand temple began following the Supreme Court verdict. The Pran Pratishtha of Ram Darbar is seen as a symbolic fulfillment of centuries-long devotion and struggle associated with the temple.
