Ahead of the 359th Prakash Parv of Guru Gobind Singh Ji, the Railway Superintendent of Police in Patna carried out a detailed inspection of security arrangements at Patna Sahib. The inspection was undertaken in view of the large number of devotees expected to visit the holy site during the celebrations.

Patna Sahib holds immense religious significance for the Sikh community as it is the birthplace of Guru Gobind Singh Ji, the tenth Sikh Guru. Every year, the Prakash Parv attracts pilgrims from across India and abroad. With the festival approaching, authorities have stepped up preparations to ensure safety, security, and smooth movement of visitors.

During the inspection, the Railway SP reviewed the deployment of security personnel at key locations, including railway stations, entry and exit points, and surrounding areas. Special attention was given to crowd management plans, surveillance systems, and emergency response mechanisms. Officials were instructed to remain alert and ensure continuous monitoring during peak hours.

The inspection also included a review of coordination between the Railway Protection Force, Government Railway Police, and local police units. Authorities emphasised the importance of seamless communication among different agencies to handle crowd control, traffic regulation, and any unforeseen situations.

In addition to physical security, arrangements have been made to facilitate the movement of pilgrims arriving by train. Measures such as regulated entry and exit routes, help desks, and public address systems are expected to be put in place to guide devotees and avoid congestion.

Officials stated that CCTV surveillance would be strengthened in sensitive areas, and additional forces would be deployed as needed during the festival period. Emergency medical facilities and quick response teams are also expected to remain on standby to address any urgent requirements.

The Railway SP stressed that maintaining a peaceful and safe environment for devotees is the top priority. Instructions were issued to security personnel to remain vigilant, courteous, and responsive to public needs. Regular briefings and inspections are planned in the days leading up to the Prakash Parv.

The security review reflects the administration’s commitment to ensuring that the 359th Prakash Parv of Guru Gobind Singh Ji is observed in a safe and orderly manner. With coordinated efforts from multiple agencies, authorities aim to provide a secure and comfortable experience for all pilgrims visiting Patna Sahib during the celebrations.
