Vrindavan’s notorious monkeys have once again stolen the limelight, this time with an amusing barter deal that left social media in splits. A video that has gone viral shows a monkey grabbing a Samsung S25 Ultra from a visitor and then willingly giving it back—only after receiving a Frooti drink in exchange.
Eyewitnesses claim that the monkey, after snatching the premium smartphone, refused to return it despite multiple attempts by the owner. It wasn’t until someone offered a Frooti tetra pack that the monkey relented, making a smooth swap. The incident, which took place near a temple in Vrindavan, was recorded by onlookers and has since flooded social media platforms.
Netizens reacted with humor, with many quipping that the monkey "understands the barter system better than some humans." Some joked about the monkey’s "high standards," while others were simply amazed at the intelligence of these animals. The video has also reignited discussions about the mischievous nature of Vrindavan’s monkeys, who are infamous for snatching food and belongings from unsuspecting tourists.
This is not the first time Vrindavan’s monkeys have demonstrated their intelligence. Locals often warn visitors to be cautious with their valuables, as these primates are known for their quick reflexes and love for food. While the incident was harmless and entertaining, it also highlights the growing interaction between humans and wildlife in urban pilgrimage spots.
As the video continues to trend online, it serves as yet another reminder to keep a tight grip on belongings while visiting monkey-dominated areas.
