In the Dr. (Capt) K Thimmappiah Memorial Tournament, commonly known as the KSCA Invitational, Arjun Tendulkar delivered an extraordinary performance that was pivotal in Goa's dominant victory over the host Karnataka.

The 24-year-old Arjun, son of cricketing legend Sachin Tendulkar, showcased his exceptional bowling talent with a remarkable nine-wicket haul. This impressive feat played a crucial role in Goa's innings and 189-run triumph at the Alur KSCA ground in Bengaluru.

The KSCA XI, composed largely of U-19 and U-23 players, featured only two established cricketers—batter Nikin Jose and wicketkeeper Sharath Srinivas. Arjun made a significant impact by dismissing Srinivas in both innings and Jose in the first. His match figures of 9/87 came from 26.3 overs across the two innings, highlighting his ability to control the game.

In the first innings, Karnataka was bowled out for just 103 runs in 36.5 overs, with Arjun claiming 5/41 from 13 overs. Despite a slight improvement in the second innings, where Karnataka was dismissed for 121 runs in 30.4 overs, Arjun continued to excel, taking 4/46 in 13.3 overs.

Earlier, Goa set a formidable total of 413, thanks to a solid century from Abhinav Tejrana, who scored 109 runs, and a valuable 69 from Manthan Khutkar. This strong performance with the bat, combined with Arjun’s exceptional bowling, ensured a convincing win for Goa and highlighted his burgeoning talent in the cricketing arena.
