In the third and final Women's One-Day International held in Rajkot, India defeated Ireland by a massive 304-run margin, completing a whitewash. Indian openers Smriti Mandhana and Prathika Rawal scored outstanding centuries, lifting India to an enormous total of 435 runs. Mandhana (135) and Rawal (154) shared a huge partnership of 233 runs, providing India with a solid start.
With India’s exceptional total, the Irish bowlers struggled to find any answers, and Richa Ghosh added another 59 runs, providing further support to the Indian team.
In reply, Ireland managed only 131 runs in 31.4 overs. Meanwhile, Ireland's leading fast bowler Orla Prendergast took 2/71, but the overall performance from Ireland was not enough to avoid defeat.
Indian captain Smriti Mandhana won the toss and opted to bat, leading India to a dominant win and a whitewash in the series.
