The result against Chelsea marked Arsenal's fourth consecutive game without a win, adding to the frustration and uncertainty surrounding their campaign.

Arsenal's recent struggles continued with a frustrating 1-1 draw against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge, leaving them with just one point from their last four Premier League matches. This result was a significant missed opportunity for Mikel Arteta's side, who had hoped to close the 10-point gap between themselves and league leaders Liverpool. Despite being in a precarious position following losses to Bournemouth and Newcastle United, and a disappointing home draw against Liverpool, Arsenal had a chance to reignite their season with a win in this London derby.

Arsenal took the lead in the 46th minute through Gabriel Martinelli, who finished off a pinpoint pass from captain Martin Ødegaard. The goal was a well-executed effort, with Martinelli taking advantage of a defensive slip-up from Chelsea's Levi Colwill to stay onside and calmly slot the ball past Robert Sanchez. However, Arsenal's lead was short-lived. Just 10 minutes after Martinelli's opener, Chelsea's Pedro Neto responded with a stunning goal, cutting inside from the right flank and drilling the ball into the bottom-right corner of the net for his first Premier League goal for the Blues.

The Gunners could have snatched all three points in the dying moments of the match when Leandro Trossard had a glorious chance to score from a cross by William Saliba, but he failed to convert the opportunity, leaving Arsenal to settle for a point. With the draw, Arsenal now sit in fourth place in the Premier League table, with 19 points, and trail third-placed Chelsea on goal difference. They are also nine points behind Liverpool, who continue to lead the table.

Arteta's team has been facing increasing defensive concerns this season, having allowed 15 or more shots in four Premier League games, a significant increase compared to last season. Arsenal's defensive vulnerability, coupled with their inability to capitalize on opportunities, has led to a dip in form that mirrors the slump they experienced in April 2023, when their title bid faltered.

The result against Chelsea marked Arsenal's fourth consecutive game without a win, adding to the frustration and uncertainty surrounding their campaign. While the team had previously been in excellent form, winning 21 of their last 25 league matches, this recent downturn has left Arteta and his players with much to address. Arsenal's struggles are compounded by an ongoing issue with consistency, as their performances have been inconsistent, and they have struggled to convert chances into wins, especially in high-pressure matches.
