Jude Bellingham expressed high praise for Kylian Mbappe following the French striker's impressive performance during Real Madrid's 3-1 Champions League victory over Stuttgart. Mbappe, making his debut in the prestigious tournament for Madrid, contributed a crucial goal, bringing his overall tally in the competition to 49. Since Mbappe's debut in the Champions League, only Robert Lewandowski has scored more goals, underscoring the striker's prolific presence on the European stage.
What made this moment even more historic was that Mbappe became only the second French player to score on his Champions League debut for Real Madrid, a feat last achieved by Christian Karembeu in 1998. This milestone further cements Mbappe's place among the game's elite and highlights his ability to consistently deliver on the grandest stages.
Bellingham, who joined Real Madrid during the same transfer window, emphasized how seamlessly Mbappe has integrated into the team, despite the immense pressure that comes with playing for a club like Real Madrid. "He's going to be a huge player for us, not just this season but in the future as well. He always steps up when it matters, and to come to a club like Madrid, where the expectations are so high, and settle in so quickly is no small feat," Bellingham remarked.
The English midfielder also commented on the growing bond between Mbappe and his teammates. "He's taken to life here really easily, and the lads already love him. He’s not just a talented player; he’s also brought a positive energy to the dressing room, and that makes a big difference."
As both Bellingham and Mbappe continue to establish themselves in Madrid's star-studded squad, their dynamic partnership looks set to drive the team forward in both domestic and European competitions. With Mbappe consistently living up to his billing as one of the world's top players, Madrid fans will be hopeful that this is just the beginning of a fruitful chapter for the club's latest Galáctico.
