Thomas Frank is enthusiastic about the potential of his new signings but recognizes that integrating them into his tactical system will require time. As Brentford prepares to face Southampton at the Gtech Community Stadium this Saturday, Frank remains optimistic despite the absence of key striker Ivan Toney.
Frank has expressed confidence in his recent acquisitions, acknowledging their potential to enhance the squad. However, he is also realistic about the challenges of acclimating new players to his playing style. "We have played three average-plus games recently," Frank noted. "There are definitely still players who are growing into their roles. We are in the process of integrating some new signings and welcoming back a few returning players."
The manager is working to find the optimal lineup and make the best use of his new additions, which he views as crucial for Brentford’s continued progress. "I’m still figuring out how to assemble the strongest squad and how to best utilize the new signings," Frank added.
The absence of Toney, who has been a pivotal player for Brentford, has been a significant challenge. The team’s recent performances without him highlight the gap left by his absence. Despite this, Frank's focus remains on maximizing the potential of his current roster and new recruits.
As Brentford moves forward, Frank’s ability to blend new talent with the existing squad will be key to their success. The manager's approach reflects his commitment to evolving the team and adapting strategies to meet the demands of the season.
