The match began with Tosin Adarabioyo giving Chelsea the lead, but Wolves leveled the score when Sanchez failed to handle a corner from Matheus Cunha, allowing Matt Doherty to capitalize.

Chelsea ended their six-game winless run in the Premier League with a convincing 3-1 victory over Wolves, reclaiming their position in the top four. Despite a shaky moment from goalkeeper Robert Sanchez, who was at fault for Wolves' equalizer, Chelsea managed to dominate the game and secure a much-needed win.

The match began with Tosin Adarabioyo giving Chelsea the lead, but Wolves leveled the score when Sanchez failed to handle a corner from Matheus Cunha, allowing Matt Doherty to capitalize. This marked Sanchez's fourth error leading to a goal this season, a statistic second only to Ipswich Town’s Arijanet Muric.

Chelsea’s head coach, Enzo Maresca, was quick to defend Sanchez after the match. Speaking to Sky Sports, Maresca highlighted the goalkeeper’s contributions throughout the season. "You mentioned it’s his fourth mistake? Well, he’s saved us more than four times. Mistakes happen to everyone—goalkeepers, strikers, midfielders. Sanchez is doing well, and I have full confidence in him," Maresca stated.

Beyond the error, Chelsea showcased their attacking prowess, with standout performances across the pitch, reaffirming their credentials as serious contenders for a top-four finish. Maresca praised the team's overall performance and emphasized their ability to bounce back from setbacks.

On the other side, Wolves head coach Vitor Pereira acknowledged his team’s defensive vulnerabilities, which have been a recurring issue this season. "We faced a strong Chelsea side with players who can create opportunities one-on-one. Our tendency to defend too deeply cost us, especially on set-pieces. We need to improve tactically and avoid these errors in the future," Pereira commented.

While Chelsea’s victory signals a potential turnaround in their form, Wolves face the challenge of addressing their defensive frailties to climb the league table. For now, the win serves as a reminder of Chelsea's quality and resilience as they aim to solidify their place among the Premier League elite.
