Juric also pointed out that his players failed to adapt to the shifting dynamics of the match, particularly in the latter stages.

Southampton manager Ivan Juric expressed his frustration following his team's 3-1 loss to Manchester United, where a late collapse saw the Saints squander a crucial lead. The match started positively for Southampton as they took an early advantage through a Manuel Ugarte own goal. However, the final 10 minutes saw a dramatic shift as Amad Diallo scored a hat-trick, turning the match in favor of the Red Devils and leaving Southampton empty-handed.

Reflecting on the match, Juric acknowledged his team's positive performance for most of the game but was clearly frustrated by their inability to close it out. "As a team, we did a really good game for 70 to 75 minutes," Juric said. "Everything was almost perfect - but we had to score more goals. But there is a moment you have to be a little bit more evil, manage the game differently, and we didn't do that." He emphasized the importance of game management in key moments and criticized his team for failing to do so.

Juric also pointed out that his players failed to adapt to the shifting dynamics of the match, particularly in the latter stages. "You cannot play 95 minutes at the same level," he remarked, stressing the need for tactical adjustments and the ability to recognize when to shift the game in their favor. He also expressed disappointment with the impact of the substitutes, suggesting they could have brought more energy and intensity to the game.

Despite the bitter defeat, Juric is holding onto hope that Southampton can turn their season around. With the club currently sitting at the bottom of the Premier League standings, having accumulated just six points from 21 matches, Juric remains optimistic that his team has the potential to escape the relegation zone. He pointed to their competitive performance against Manchester United as evidence that they have the capability to challenge even the top teams in the league.

Southampton's first-half performance was notably strong, as they managed five shots on target, their best in an opening period this season. This, Juric believes, is a sign that they have the tools to succeed if they can maintain their focus and consistency for the full 90 minutes. "It has to be a positive thing for us that they can play like this against Manchester United," Juric said. "If they are competitive here, they can be in every game."

The Southampton manager remains focused on improving his team's fitness levels and overall performance, with the hope that they can pick up crucial points in the upcoming matches. With the relegation battle intensifying, Juric is determined to instill the necessary mental and physical resilience in his squad to mount a fight for survival in the Premier League.
