Brazilian football legend Neymar has recently issued a cautionary note to Brazilian players at Real Madrid regarding their new teammate, Kylian Mbappe. This warning comes in light of Neymar's tumultuous relationship with Mbappe during their time together at Paris Saint-Germain (PSG).
Since Mbappe's transfer to Real Madrid, he has made a positive start, showing strong chemistry with his new teammates. Despite his impressive performance and the high hopes surrounding his move, Neymar has raised concerns based on their past interactions.
During his time at PSG, Neymar and Mbappe were both prolific, but their partnership was marred by friction. Issues such as disagreements over penalty-taking and differing playing styles led to a strained relationship. This tension was apparent even before Lionel Messi joined PSG in 2021. According to journalist Cyril Hanouna, Neymar sent a note to Real Madrid's Brazilian players, including Vinicius Jr., warning them about Mbappe. The note reportedly describes Mbappe’s impact as "catastrophic" and refers to the experience as "hell."
Neymar's message highlights the difficulties he faced while playing alongside Mbappe, despite their shared successes on the field. The warning adds an intriguing dynamic to Mbappe’s integration into the Real Madrid squad, which is already buoyed by recent successes in La Liga and the Champions League. As the team looks to build on their past achievements, Neymar’s caution underscores the potential challenges that may arise from Mbappe’s arrival.
