The historic night also saw Tottenham become the first English club since Arsenal in 2007 to have three under-21 players score in a major European match.

Tottenham Hotspur claimed a dominant 3-0 victory over Elfsborg at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, securing their place in the Europa League's last 16. The win was driven by the brilliance of young stars Dane Scarlett, Damola Ajayi, and Mikey Moore, who all found the net in the final 20 minutes. Their performances showcased Tottenham’s emerging talent amid an ongoing injury crisis.

Manager Ange Postecoglou was full of praise for the trio, expressing his excitement about their impact. "It was made in Tottenham tonight," he said. "I'm super pleased for the young boys, and we also had a couple more teenagers out there too. I’m sure those three lads won’t sleep tonight." Postecoglou highlighted their ability to take control and capitalize on Elfsborg’s defensive gaps.

The historic night also saw Tottenham become the first English club since Arsenal in 2007 to have three under-21 players score in a major European match. Additionally, 17-year-old Mikey Moore set a new record as the youngest English player to score in European competition, surpassing Jimmy Greaves’ 1957 milestone.

Postecoglou made key half-time substitutions to manage the squad’s workload, resting Micky van de Ven, Son Heung-min, and Richarlison ahead of upcoming fixtures. However, concerns arose when Radu Dragusin suffered a knee injury shortly after coming on. "It’s too early to say what it is, but a knee injury is never a good sign," Postecoglou admitted.

Meanwhile, Tottenham are reportedly making a late push in the transfer market with a £50 million bid for Bayern Munich’s Mathys Tel. As the window nears its end, Postecoglou confirmed efforts are being made to reinforce the squad. "The club is working hard behind the scenes to see if we can get something done," he said.

Despite ongoing injury challenges, Spurs’ young talents have stepped up, proving their potential on the European stage and giving fans hope for the future.
