Borja Sainz was the standout performer, scoring a brilliant hat-trick to take his tally to 15 goals in 19 appearances across all competitions.

Sheffield United climbed back to the top of the Championship with a commanding 3-0 victory over Oxford United at Bramall Lane. Under manager Chris Wilder, Sheffield United continued their impressive form, securing their fifth win in the last six matches. The only interruption to their winning streak was a draw against Coventry City. In this latest win, Callum O'Hare opened the scoring early, providing the spark for a dominant performance. Tyrese Campbell, continuing his fine form, added a second, marking his fifth goal in the last six matches. Jesurun Rak-Sakyi sealed the victory in the second half, ensuring Sheffield United's position at the summit. This result extended their impressive home run, with Sheffield United now having won seven consecutive home games without conceding a single goal. They are currently two points ahead of second-placed Burnley. On the other hand, Oxford United, who have struggled this season, remain in 18th place, just two points clear of the relegation zone. They have managed only one win in their last 12 matches, putting their survival hopes at risk.

Burnley, who are in second place, secured a vital 2-0 win over Coventry City at Turf Moor. Goals from Jeremy Sarmiento and CJ Egan-Riley in the second half helped Scott Parker's side maintain pressure on the leaders. The result leaves Burnley just two points behind Sheffield United. Coventry City, meanwhile, continue to struggle and are now in 17th place, just two points above the relegation zone. They will need to improve their form to avoid a relegation battle as the season progresses.

Norwich City also made a statement in the Championship with a thrilling 6-1 win over Plymouth Argyle at Carrow Road. The victory revitalized their play-off hopes, as they displayed an attacking masterclass. Borja Sainz was the standout performer, scoring a brilliant hat-trick to take his tally to 15 goals in 19 appearances across all competitions. Despite leading just 2-1 at halftime, Norwich took advantage of Plymouth's defensive frailties in the second half, running riot to score four more goals and seal a comprehensive win. This result moves Norwich back into the play-off picture, giving them hope for a top-six finish.

Meanwhile, Sunderland dropped to third place after failing to capitalize on their chance to stay at the top. They were held to a goalless draw at home by West Bromwich Albion in a match that failed to ignite. Both teams struggled to create clear-cut chances, with just two shots on target throughout the match. Sunderland, who had the opportunity to go back to the top of the table with a win, now find themselves behind Sheffield United and Burnley. West Brom, despite the point, remain in seventh place but are level on points with sixth-placed Middlesbrough, although they have played one game more.

As the Championship season continues to unfold, the battle for promotion and survival is heating up. Sheffield United’s dominant win solidifies their position at the top, but Burnley and Norwich are close behind, while teams like Coventry and Oxford will need to turn things around to avoid a relegation fight.
