Mohammedreza Shadloui, the dynamic all-rounder from Iran, has been making waves in the Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) 2024 with his stellar performances for Haryana Steelers. Known for his ability to excel in both raiding and defending, Shadloui recently hit a major milestone—achieving 300 tackle points in just 76 matches, further cementing his reputation as one of the league's top all-rounders.
In his most recent match against U Mumba, Shadloui delivered yet another masterclass in kabaddi. He not only contributed 6 tackle points with his defensive brilliance but also added 4 raid points to his tally, showcasing his versatility and his ability to perform in both facets of the game. After the match, Shadloui proudly stated, "Everyone knows I’m skilled at raiding too, making me a true all-rounder. There are many who claim to be all-rounders in the PKL, but I’ve proven that I can tackle and raid effectively. I adapt based on what the team needs—whether it’s raiding or tackling, and I deliver accordingly."
Shadloui’s rapid rise in the PKL is all the more impressive when compared to the career of his fellow Iranian kabaddi star, Fazel Atrachali. Shadloui didn’t hold back when asked about the ongoing comparisons between the two. "Fazel has played ten seasons in PKL to reach 500 points. I’ve achieved 300 points in just four seasons. The numbers speak for themselves," he said. These bold words reflect Shadloui’s confidence in his abilities and his determination to leave a lasting mark on the league in a shorter time span.
Currently playing for Haryana Steelers, Shadloui joined the team after winning the PKL title with Puneri Paltan in season 10. His growth as a player has been shaped significantly by the kabaddi ecosystem in India, which has provided him with the platform to develop his skills and reach new heights. Shadloui’s achievements highlight not only his individual talent but also the strength of the PKL in nurturing international players and helping them grow into global kabaddi stars.
As Shadloui continues to shine in the ongoing season, it’s clear that he is more than just a one-dimensional player. His all-round ability and tactical understanding of the game make him a key player for Haryana Steelers and a strong contender to challenge the best in the league. With his eye on further milestones and a growing legacy, Mohammedreza Shadloui is certainly one to watch in the Pro Kabaddi League.
