Franz Wagner put on an impressive performance, scoring 32 points and dishing out eight assists, as the Orlando Magic secured a 109-99 victory over the Phoenix Suns. Wagner’s all-around game helped Orlando extend their winning streak to six games, improving their record to 6-4 since star player Paolo Banchero’s injury. Anthony Black was crucial off the bench, contributing 20 points and nine assists, while Goga Bitadze added a double-double with 17 points and 10 rebounds, continuing his solid play in Banchero’s absence.
Orlando took control early in the game, ending the first quarter with a 26-22 lead after scoring the final four points. They carried their momentum into the second quarter, shooting 60% from the field and outscoring Phoenix 38-26, to take a commanding 64-48 lead at halftime. Despite Phoenix's efforts, Orlando maintained a steady pace and never relinquished their lead, sealing the win.
Phoenix, missing key players Kevin Durant, Bradley Beal, and Jusuf Nurkic, struggled to keep up. Devin Booker, who had a season-high 44 points in his previous game, was limited to just 17 points against Orlando. Tyus Jones led the Suns with 18 points and eight assists, while Grayson Allen added 17 points from the bench. Phoenix’s lack of depth proved to be a key factor in their defeat.
In Milwaukee, Damian Lillard made a dramatic return for the Bucks after being sidelined due to concussion protocol. Lillard’s clutch layup in the final seconds helped Milwaukee secure a narrow 111-110 victory over the Houston Rockets. Despite not having his best game, Lillard’s timely heroics proved crucial for the Bucks. Brook Lopez also played a pivotal role, scoring 27 points and grabbing 10 rebounds, while Giannis Antetokounmpo contributed a solid 20 points and 13 rebounds, continuing his dominant form.
The Rockets mounted a comeback effort led by Fred VanVleet, who scored 26 points, and Jalen Green, who added 21 points. However, Houston’s late-game rally fell short, as the Bucks held on for the win. Lillard’s return gave the Bucks a much-needed boost, and they were able to close out a tightly contested game.
In Los Angeles, Norman Powell led the Clippers to a 102-99 win over the Golden State Warriors, making five of his six three-point attempts. Powell’s shooting was key in helping the Clippers secure their fifth consecutive win at the Intuit Dome. James Harden played an instrumental role, not only contributing 12 points but also setting up his teammates with 16 assists. Ivica Zubac was a defensive force for Los Angeles, grabbing 17 rebounds and providing much-needed presence in the paint.
The Clippers’ victory over the Warriors was particularly sweet, as they managed to edge out the Pacific Division leaders in a hard-fought battle. Golden State, despite strong performances from Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson, could not overcome the Clippers' balanced offensive attack and strong defensive effort. The win extended Los Angeles’ impressive home streak and continued their momentum in the Western Conference standings.
